Meet Babe, a delightful 2-year-old shepherd mix with a heart full of love and a gentle soul. Babe has a wonderfully calm demeanor and has shown incredible kindness and patience with the cats and small dogs in her foster home. She's not possessive over her food, toys, or bones, and she peacefully coexists with other animals. Even when things get a little lively around her, Babe remains a picture of tolerance and respect.
Babe is a true cuddle bug who showers her favorite people with kisses and always seems to wear a loving smile. She walks beautifully on a leash, is completely potty trained, and has impeccable manners both at home and out and about. While she's currently enjoying a quieter lifestyle during her heartworm treatment, her keen interest in squirrels suggests she'd love a yard to explore when she's feeling up to it. She hasn't needed a crate and shows no signs of separation anxiety, happily waiting patiently when her foster mom goes out. Babe also enjoys car rides and is a calm companion in stores, greeting everyone with her sweet smile. She's exceptionally gentle with the neighborhood children who stop to pet her.

Babe is currently undergoing treatment for heartworms. This is a treatable condition, and with completion of the treatment, she's expected to live a long, happy, and healthy life. She needs a quieter lifestyle with lots of rest and relaxation during this period.
Training & Support
Babe is fully potty trained and has excellent manners. She has not needed to be crated and shows no signs of separation anxiety. She's a fast learner and will likely pick up new routines and commands with ease.
