Georgey is an 11-month-old pup, weighing around 32 lbs. He's a petite mix of Australian Kelpie with hints of Lab or Catahoula, and we believe he's reached his full grown size. Georgey was born on a ranch in South Texas and came to us with his brother, Johnny. He's been in foster care since March 2025, waiting for his forever family.
Ideal Home
Georgey would thrive in a home with other dogs, big or small, as he loves to play and interact with his canine friends. He's also great with kitties and would be happy to share his home with them. He absolutely adores children and strangers, making him a wonderful addition to almost any household. A backyard with a kiddo pool for him to splash in and opportunities for walks to explore new sights would be ideal.
Ongoing Health
Georgey is neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. He has also been de-wormed and will receive a clean bill of health from a veterinarian before transport. He was heartworm positive and has received a 30-day course of antibiotics. He will need to remain on heartworm prevention for 12-16 months and be retested afterward.
Training & Support
Georgey is a pleaser and enjoys being accepted by other dogs, often displaying a more submissive nature. He loves his toys and can be a bit of a toy destroyer, so durable toys are a must! He can get a little jealous when other dogs are playing and he's kenneled, often expressing his desire to join in with sad whimpers.

Transporation
Georgey is currently in Texas but is available for transport to the Central US and the East Coast. Transport runs every 2-3 weeks and stops include: Albany, NY; Wells, VT; Brattleboro, VT; Nashua, NH; Willington, CT; Stamford, CT; Dayville, CT; Steubenville, OH; Cincinnati, OH; Grove City, OH; Ridgefield, NJ; Mt Laurel, NJ; Emmitsburg, MD; Elkton, MD; Falls Church, VA; and Glenn Allen, VA. (Please note that some stops may be temporarily on hold). The adoption fee includes transport from Texas to the Northeast.
