Milo Milkyway

Milo is a sweet, shy boy who is looking for a patient and loving home to help him build confidence. He's a 53 lb. Australian Kelpie and Retriever mix with an estimated DOB of 11/30/2024. Milo started out on the streets and wasn't treated well, making him initially fearful of strangers. However, once he feels safe, he becomes incredibly loving and respectful. He enjoys playing quietly and rarely barks indoors. Milo loves to run, so a fenced backyard would be ideal for him. He's also great at sharing his toys and doesn't guard them from people or other dogs. Milo has done well with small children at adoption events, showing a gentle nature. He is a quick learner, already mastering "sit" and "kennel," and alerts his fosters when he needs to go outside.

Ideal Home

Milo would thrive in a home with patience and understanding to help him overcome his shyness. A fenced backyard is highly recommended for him to safely enjoy his love for running. He gets along well with other dogs, including smaller ones, but may need gentle guidance to ensure he's not too boisterous with them due to his puppy energy.

Milo is picking up commands like "sit" and "kennel" and has learned to signal when he needs to go outside. He needs continued positive reinforcement to build his confidence and learn that the world is a safe and loving place.
