He's about 4 years old and weighs 75 lbs, with a natural knack for walking right by your side. JJ lives for adventure, whether it's long hikes, fetch, swimming, or boat rides – if it involves fun, he's in! He's particularly excited by tennis balls and will be ready to go the moment he sees shoes come out. After a day of activity, he's content to snuggle on the couch or quietly observe. JJ bonds quickly with men and thrives with calm, confident leadership and structure. He's smart, well-attuned, and already knows a variety of commands, including being gentle-lead trained and coming when called. While he enjoys his foster family, he shows a special devotion to his foster dad. He's happy to hang out near his foster mom while she works from home, patiently awaiting his dad's return. JJ is unfazed by loud noises like trucks, motorcycles, thunder, or fireworks, and he will alert you to new people or dogs before settling down, drawing his confidence from his handler. He is fully potty and crate trained, meaning he can free-roam without issue. JJ is respectful of personal space, not destructive, doesn't resource guard, and sleeps through the night. He's affectionate but not pushy, and loyal without being clingy – simply a wonderful dog.

Ideal Home

JJ would do well as a solo companion or with another dog. He's best suited for an adult-only home or one with calm older teenagers. Due to his prey drive, a home without cats is ideal.
