Gus is a distinguished older gentleman and a true homebody who loves burrowing under the covers, cozy naps, snuggles, and quiet days at home. He gets along wonderfully with humans and other dogs and would be happiest relaxing with his family.

Ideal Home

Gus needs an indoor-only home with a fenced-in yard. He does not like wearing a collar and prefers to go outside on his own terms. He is not especially interested in playing or going out, making him a wonderful companion for a calm household.

Ongoing Health

Gus has allergies that caused significant hair loss. Allergy injections have helped considerably and will be needed long-term. Coconut oil is used to keep his skin comfortable. Gus has no teeth, so his meals are cut into tiny pieces; he enjoys steak, chicken, and pasta.

Gus's adoption fee includes a free basic obedience course at Cedar Run Company in Hiawatha.
