King

King is a one-year-old Basset Hound/Lab mix with a gentle soul and a laid-back nature. He's still gaining confidence and can be a bit scared of new things, especially loud noises, but he settles in nicely once he feels safe. While he can be a little jumpy when excited, he's generally calm and easygoing. King truly enjoys running around the yard, going on walks, and soaking up outdoor time. He has a playful side and loves playing fetch, tug-of-war, and has a big fan of chew time. He is crate trained and house trained, which makes him an easy addition to a home.

Ideal Home

King would thrive in a patient, understanding home that will give him time to build confidence and continue showing him the world is a safe place. He has a prey drive and enjoys chasing squirrels and frogs, and he will chase cats, so a cat-free home is recommended.

Ongoing Health

King has a sensitive stomach and does best on sensitive stomach dog food, as treats like milk bones do not agree with him.

Training & Support

King can be a little jumpy when excited, but is otherwise calm and easygoing. He is crate trained and house trained.
