Cookie is a gentle and loving Labrador mix with a sweet, loyal nature. She is a wonderful companion who enjoys being close to her people and brings calm, comforting energy to those around her. She gets along well with other dogs and children. Cookie is very noble, affectionate, and loyal, making her an excellent family dog. She can be a little nervous at times, especially in new situations, but with patience and kindness she settles in and shows her trusting heart. One of Cookie’s favorite things is looking out the window. It makes her happy to watch the world go by, especially during car rides or quiet moments at home. Cookie was born underneath a house that was completely in ruins, during freezing, below-zero temperatures. Despite such a harsh beginning, she has grown into a resilient and loving dog who is ready for a safe, warm, and forever home.

Cookie would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard and an active family that enjoys outdoor activities. Families should have an open mind about the needs of rescued animals and a background in dog behavior and training. High tolerance and patience are essential for this sweet girl.

Cookie has been spayed, vaccinated (DHPPI, Rabies, Bordetella), and dewormed. She has also tested negative for heartworm and has a health certificate.
Training & Support
Cookie is not house-trained and will need continued patience and consistency in her training. It's important for adopters to understand that the rescue is unable to house-train each pet due to the large number of animals in foster care.
