Meet Piper, a two-year-old bundle of squishy-faced joy who's ready to shower you with affection! She's a likely Cane Corso/Boxer mix, though don't let her distinguished face fool you – she's on the smaller side and packed with playful energy. Piper assumes everyone is her best friend from the moment they meet, leaning in for hugs and flashing a permanently thrilled underbite. She's a social butterfly with dogs, loving to romp, tumble, and zoom. She enjoys a good play session but also knows when to take a break. Piper is eager to please and smart, making her very trainable, although her current focus is more on the exciting world around her than perfecting her leash skills.
Ideal Home
Piper would love a yard for epic zoomie sessions, but apartment living is also an option if her humans are active and committed to daily walks and adventures. She is not a good fit for homes with cats, as she finds them too interesting. While Piper is incredibly gentle and people-loving, she does tend to give enthusiastic hugs when excited. Therefore, a home with children will require a kid test to ensure everyone's safety and success.
Ongoing Health
Piper is up-to-date on all vetting, which includes DAPP vaccinations with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, and a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative. She has also had a heartworm test.
Training & Support
Piper is still working on her leash skills and is easily distracted by her surroundings. She also has a tendency to give enthusiastic hugs when excited, which is why a kid test is recommended for homes with children.

Piper is currently in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue-run USDA-certified transport system, ensuring safe and comfortable travel with 24/7 care. Drop-off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (pick-up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). You will have the opportunity to track your pet's journey in real-time and receive photo updates. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
