Sadie

Sadie is a sweet-natured 8-year-old, 50-pound Boxer who is game for adventure outside and loves to cuddle on the couch indoors. She truly comes alive when she knows it's time to go out, spinning in happy circles with an excited whine! Sadie has done well with children, including a kindergarten-aged neighbor and her foster's young teen. She can be a little shy with new people, but once she feels safe, she's your best buddy.

Ideal Home

Sadie would thrive in a moderately active home with individuals, couples, or families. She would do best as the only pet in the household, as she can fixate on squirrels, cats, and some dogs. A secure, taller privacy fence is preferred for Sadie to live her best life.

Ongoing Health

Sadie has some missing teeth and eats water-softened kibble in three small meals, which has helped manage her weight.

Training & Support

Sadie is house-trained, leash-trained, and crate-trained. While she is crate-trained, she does feel nervous when confined, but has free-roamed for up to four hours with no mischief. She is working on her tendency to be protective and bark or growl at passersby on walks.
