About Madeline (Maddie)

Madeline, estimated to be about 9 months old and currently weighing 40 lbs, is a gorgeous little gal with the softest fur. She was saved from a euthanasia list at a local shelter after only two days because she was too scared to walk on a leash. Thankfully, a wonderful foster family stepped up and saved her life with only minutes to spare. Now, Maddie is thriving and loving every minute of her foster home. She's doing great with potty and kennel training, loves attention, and walks well on a leash. She also rides nicely in the car, ready for your next adventure! Maddie likes all dogs and cats she has met with proper introductions and would love a friendly fur sibling in her forever home. Although she’s blossoming, it’s clear Maddie hasn’t had the easiest start in life. We suspect she may have experienced cruelty as a stray. She warms up quickly to adults and older kids, but becomes very frightened around smaller children, retreating to a corner shaking. With patience, kindness, and positive experiences, we hope she can continue to build confidence, but she will need a family committed to helping her work through those fears. We expect she’ll grow into the perfect medium-large sized companion. She has so much love to give, and we can’t wait to find her the forever home she deserves, one that will continue to socialize her, provide training and exercise, and help her grow into the amazing dog she’s meant to be. Madeline’s future is bright!
