Meet Polly, a 38lb Cattle Dog Retriever mix with the heart of a puppy and the sweetest personality. She’s spayed, vaccinated, and fully up to date on all of her preventatives, so she’s ready to head straight into her forever home. Polly has a gentle, go with the flow nature and loves being part of whatever her people are doing. She absolutely loves toys, enjoys playing with other dogs, and has a bouncy, happy energy when it’s time for fun. If another dog wants to play, Polly is always happy to join in. She’s also been around kids aged 6 and up and has done well with them. While Polly enjoys playtime, she’s actually a pretty low energy girl overall. She’s just as happy to relax and cuddle as she is to toss around a toy. She’s affectionate, snuggly, and loves being close to her people. She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but she warms up quickly once she realizes she’s safe. Polly has great house manners in many ways she’s fully house trained and crate trained for up to six hours. She does well in the car and has no issues with resource guarding or food aggression. Polly would thrive in a home that can offer her patience and guidance as she continues to learn the rules of home life. She is described as being able to get into things if left unsupervised, so a home that can accommodate crating her when she is alone would be ideal.

Polly is currently working on her leash manners and may pull sometimes, but she is easy to manage and will continue to learn with consistency and routine. She should be crated when unsupervised to prevent her from getting into things.
