Summer Smiles The Sunshine Girl

Summer Smiles is believed to be a German Shepherd mix, approximately 4 years old and weighing 45 lbs. She's a petite girl who is the ultimate social butterfly, always ready to bring a smile to your face and brighten your day. Summer is incredibly dog-friendly, smart, and truly has a go-with-the-flow personality. She loves every person she meets and forms instant connections. Her friendly and goofy nature is impossible to resist.

Ideal Home

Summer would thrive in a home with another dog that enjoys play and companionship. She also met a resident cat and was respectful, but a cat-only sleepover can be arranged to ensure compatibility. A backyard for zooming and sunbathing would be wonderful, but she also has the potential to do well in an apartment or condo. She adores people and would be a fantastic companion for those who enjoy hosting gatherings.

Ongoing Health

Summer is up-to-date on all vetting, including vaccinations, deworming, flea/heartworm prevention, and is spayed. A health certificate deeming her healthy for travel will be provided.

Training & Support

Summer is a treat-motivated learner who already knows how to sit on command. She walks well on a leash, is crate trained, and potty trained. Her natural ability to connect with people and her love for children (she has been around 7-year-olds with great success) make her a wonderful candidate for a family dog.

Transporation

Summer is located in the Houston, Texas area. Transport is available nationwide through our rescue's USDA-certified transport system. Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada (pick-up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). A $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
