Hanky is currently flourishing in a foster home where he's learning that the world is a pretty great place. He is a true gentleman who treats every interaction with a quiet, polite grace. When you offer him a snack, he takes it with the gentlest of touches, often following it up with a soft thank you kiss that will absolutely melt your heart.
Ideal Home
Hanky's dream home is a peaceful sanctuary where he can be the center of your world. While he'd love a yard to sniff around in, his calm demeanor makes him perfectly suited for apartment living as long as he has his favorite human nearby. He would prefer a feline-free sanctuary, as he'd rather be the star of the show without any cats.
Ongoing Health
All vetting, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12-month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, and a microchip with free lifetime registration are included.
Training & Support
Hanky is a gentleman who takes treats gently and is learning the world is a great place. He is socialized with other dogs, preferring a calm, co-existing vibe rather than rough play. He is content to be an only pet or share his home with a calm resident dog.

Hanky is located in the Houston area, Texas. Transportation is available nationwide via our rescue-run USDA-certified transport system, with drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (pickup in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). A $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
