Artie is a fun-loving, high-energy 3-year-old Terrier mix who is always ready for her next adventure! This 32-pound girl brings enthusiasm and joy wherever she goes, whether it's a game of fetch, a run in the yard, or zooming around with her favorite toys. Artie is incredibly smart, playful, and affectionate, and she absolutely loves people, greeting new friends with pure excitement and a wagging tail. She is independent, outgoing, curious, and wonderfully silly, sure to make you laugh daily while keeping you active and then snuggling up beside you at the end of the day. Artie is ready to bring her big personality and even bigger heart to a loving forever home.
Ideal Home
Artie thrives in an active environment and would do best with a family that enjoys walks, playtime, and outdoor activities. A yard or open space to run would be a huge bonus. While she doesn't need another dog, she would likely enjoy a playful canine companion. She has done well with large dogs (50-100 lbs) in her foster home, though slow introductions are important. She can be a little on edge at first and is protective of her toys, but she backs off quickly and recognizes when another dog is done playing. Continued training will help her polish her leash manners, as she may bark or pull when she sees other dogs. Her ideal home would be active, patient, and ready to continue her training, especially helping her learn to settle calmly and share toys more comfortably. Artie has not been around cats and hasn't spent time with children yet, but her friendly and affectionate personality suggests she could do well with proper introductions.
Ongoing Health
Artie is spayed and up to date on vaccinations.
Training & Support
Artie is house-trained and crate-trained, sleeping in her crate at night and staying crated about 4-6 hours during the day. She may whine a bit but settles down. She should continue to be crated when left alone as she is curious and can get into things on counters if unsupervised. She rides great in the car and handles stairs with no problem. Artie loves chewing on toys and cuddling up after a good play session.
