Prickly Pear

Meet Prickly Pear! This adorable fluff ball is a typical puppy who loves to eat, play, sleep, and repeat. He comes to us from a Reservation in South Dakota with his mama, who appears to be a collie mix, and his three siblings. Prickly Pear is currently being fostered with young children, dogs, and a cat, and he's doing wonderfully with all of them! As he's still a pup, he's learning the ropes of boundaries, but he's a quick learner and a joy to have around.

Ideal Home

Prickly Pear is thriving in his foster home with kids, dogs, and a cat, so a similar environment would be wonderful for him. As he's still learning, a home with patience and a willingness to guide him through puppyhood would be ideal.

Ongoing Health

Prickly Pear has been neutered, vaccinated, and is up-to-date on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. He has also been dewormed and microchipped.

Training & Support

Prickly Pear is still learning about boundaries, as is typical for a puppy. Continued positive reinforcement and consistent guidance will help him grow into a well-behaved adult dog.

• Our adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations, heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, a heartworm test (for dogs over 9 months), deworming, and microchip implant with registration.
• As we are a foster-based rescue, all adoptable animals are in foster homes. Meet-and-greets can only happen after an application is submitted and approved.
• We are unable to determine the specific breeds of our animals, so any breed listed is our best guess.
