TEDDY

Teddy is approximately 3.5 years old and weighs 10 lbs. His DNA test shows him to be a mixture of Chihuahua, Yorkie, Bichon, and three other breeds. When he was rescued, he was a matted mess and had to be shaved down. His coat has now grown back, and he is a very handsome boy who will need regular grooming. He also had mature cataracts in both eyes, but after successful surgery and a period of eye medication, he now has excellent eyesight! Teddy loves to be a lap dog and is always eager to snuggle up with his foster. He gets along with most dogs, but can be a bit overwhelmed by overly active ones who get in his face. We believe he would do best as an only dog or with a calm, older canine companion. He is fairly well house-trained and enjoys walks on the leash and car rides. Teddy is sure to be a wonderful companion for the right person.

Ideal Home

Teddy would do best as an only dog or with an older, quieter companion. We do not adopt to homes with children under 8 years old or to inexperienced dog owners.

Ongoing Health

Teddy has had successful cataract surgery on both eyes and no longer requires medication.

Training & Support

Teddy is fairly well house-trained but not perfect. He is well-behaved on a leash and loves car rides.

• All dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated (Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella, Canine Influenza), and on monthly preventatives for Heartworms, Fleas/Ticks, and Parasites.

Transportation

Teddy is currently in foster care in Houston, Texas. Adoption includes transportation to Glastonbury, CT, or Johnston, RI.
