Lexi

Lexi is a sweet and gentle girl who is believed to be around 16 years old, though she certainly doesn't act her age! She has plenty of pep in her step and can easily go for a two-mile walk, enjoying every moment of her "sniffy time" outdoors. Lexi is a delightful companion with a zest for life, perfect for someone seeking a happy senior buddy.

Ideal Home

Lexi would do best in a home where she can be the only dog, as she can be a little reactive on leash towards barking dogs and did not enjoy her dog introduction at the shelter. She might be able to live with a cat-savvy cat and gentle children. It might be beneficial to keep her in a contained area when no one is home.

Ongoing Health

Lexi has been diagnosed with pituitary-dependent Cushing's Disease. She does not require any treatment at this time but does urinate frequently. She is doing well with using pee pads at the shelter and is also happy to relieve herself outside.

Training & Support

Lexi is house-trained and reliably uses pee pads. She enjoys her walks but needs a patient owner who can help her manage her leash reactivity towards barking dogs.
