River - Fee Waived

Hi there! My name is River, and I am a 13-year-old sweet, curious girl who loves to explore and take walks to smell the flowers. Despite my age, I still have some pep in my step and will prance when I walk! I came into the shelter as a stray, and unfortunately, no one came forward to claim me. In my short time at the shelter, I have been tested with other animals and I do well with other calm dogs, and I seem to be pretty disinterested in cats. I could do well in a home with children that are respectful of my age and the boundaries that come with seniors like me. I keep my kennel pretty clean and use the bathroom outside. While staff cannot guarantee I am house-trained, I sure show signs that I am! I am an older girl that deserves life outside of the shelter, so please come out to visit me!

Ideal Home

A home with children that are respectful of my age and the boundaries that come with seniors. I seem to do well with other calm dogs and am disinterested in cats. I am used to having a fenced yard.

I am a 13-year-old senior dog. I am spayed and vaccinated.

Training & Support

I show signs of being house-trained and keep my kennel clean. I seem to prefer to go to the bathroom off-leash.
