With her soft eyes, quiet company, and peaceful presence, Sandy is the dog equivalent of that deep inhale & exhale after a long, hard day. Gentle and thoughtful, she is a dog that you might not notice in a room full of dogs, but once you do, and make that connection, you quickly realize you never want to be without her and the way she feels. Sandy is fostered in a loving home where she has shown us exactly who she is. She appreciates a quieter, calmer lifestyle and settles in beautifully when given the chance to take things at her own pace. Once she feels safe, there is a peacefulness to her presence that is incredibly grounding. She is not busy or demanding, she simply is, and it makes a home feel softer just having her in it. Her approach to love is slow and steady. She takes her time getting to know new people and prefers not to be rushed into affection. She is not reactive or pushy, she simply likes a little space in the beginning while she observes and understands her surroundings. And then, almost without you noticing when it happened, she starts choosing you. Sitting a little closer. Following you from room to room. Slipping her head slightly under your hand. Quietly being there. Anyone who has experienced it will testify to just how much your heart swells and bursts in the moment. That connection, when it comes, is deeply loyal and genuinely heartwarming. Sandy forms bonds that feel intentional and real. She is the kind of dog who may not be in your lap on day one, but becomes your shadow in the most comforting, easy way once she trusts you.
Ideal Home
Sandy would do best in a home that values a slower pace, where she can continue to grow in confidence without pressure. She is for someone who understands that love does not always arrive loudly. Sometimes it shows up quietly, requires care, sits beside you, and stays.
Ongoing Health
Sandy has received all vetting, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, and a microchip with free lifetime registration.
Training & Support
Sandy enjoys walks, which are a great way to build a relationship with her. She enjoys getting out, and that shared rhythm helps her connect and feel secure.
