About Dahlia Daisy Flower the MINI Lab

Meet Dahlia Daisy Flower, a delightful 10-month-old "itty bitty labbie pittie" who is as sweet as she is beautiful. This 35-pound sweetheart is likely to stay in the 40-45 pound range, making her a perfectly petite companion. Dahlia wakes up ready for adventure, enjoying a potty break and some morning zoomies before heading out for a brisk walk. She's a near-perfect leash walker, though squirrels can sometimes cause a momentary lapse in focus! Her love for the outdoors shines on trails and at parks where she makes friends with everyone she meets, including other dogs. Dahlia is a bit shy with new people but warms up quickly, revealing her affectionate nature. She's a natural water dog, so don't be surprised if she takes a dip in any creek or river she encounters – she'd be an amazing camping companion!

During the workday, Dahlia is happy to snooze by her foster mom's side, taking breaks for zoomies with the four other resident pups in the home. She gets along wonderfully with small and large dogs alike, though smaller dogs in her future home should be able to assert their boundaries. When she's not exploring, Dahlia loves to chase pine cones and carry around big sticks.

Ideal Home

Dahlia would thrive in an active home that can provide at least two walks a day to satisfy her puppy energy. She would be happiest with another playful dog to share her life with, or if her people work full-time, she'd benefit from regular visits to doggy daycare. She could do well in a dog-friendly apartment or condo, provided she gets plenty of exercise. While not yet tested with cats or children, we believe she would do well with respectful children aged 8 and up.

Ongoing Health

Dahlia is a healthy young pup.

Training & Support

Dahlia is crate and house trained, but may cry in her crate initially when left alone. She does settle eventually, but this could be a consideration for homes with shared walls. Consistency in re-establishing her nighttime crate routine is expected in her new home.
