Lluvia is a sweet and playful 8-month-old female Labrador mix, weighing in at 16 lbs and expected to grow to around 32-38 lbs. She has a happy, energetic personality and is social with other dogs, men, women, and strangers, approaching new people with curiosity and confidence. Lluvia loves to run, jump, and play, especially with toys like bright, fun dog balls. She also adores affection and happily accepts pets and cuddles. She does not show any aggressive behavior and while she may be a little cautious in new situations, she never bites. This joyful girl is ready to grow, learn, and share her life with a forever family.
Ideal Home
Lluvia would thrive in a home with an active family that enjoys outdoor activities and has a securely fenced backyard. Families should have a genuine intention to rescue and be open to understanding the needs and behaviors of rescued animals. Experience with dog behavior and training is highly valued, or a willingness to hire a trainer is essential. A high level of tolerance and patience for rescued puppies is a must.
Ongoing Health
Lluvia has received a comprehensive health protocol including: spay/neuter certificate, two DHPPI vaccines, rabies vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, microchip, a negative 4DX test and heartworm test certificate, and is on monthly Nexgard Spectra preventive protection. She also has a health certificate and vaccine booklet.
Training & Support
It's important to understand that rescued dogs like Lluvia may require an adjustment period and might not be house-trained. Patience and understanding are crucial for building trust and a strong bond. Providing a safe and loving environment, establishing a routine, and setting clear boundaries will help her feel secure.

- Upon approval, you will sign the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee, which covers vet care, spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, and food.
Transportation
Lluvia is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on a cross-country trip. Door-to-door delivery is available for a one-time fee of $400 USD. Transport is scheduled 3-4 times per year with a minimum of 15-20 adoptions per trip. A contracted transport company will escort pets across the border into Texas for US adoptions, or to the US-Canada border for Canadian adoptions. You will receive real-time updates via a private Facebook Messenger group throughout the journey, including photos, videos, and feeding/cleaning schedules. The transport team will deliver your pet directly to your home and conduct a final home review.
