Alder

Alder is a handsome 3-year-old Pyr who came to us from Texas. He's a shy but friendly gentleman who craves affection and attention. He is still learning how to express his excitement but is eager to please.

Ideal Home

Alder would do best in a home with a calmer, playful dog. He is mild-mannered and would likely be fine in a home with children beyond the "screeching years." A fenced yard would be ideal, but he also walks well on a leash, so a home without one is acceptable as long as you are committed to daily walks. He is not suited for a home where he can wander off-leash as he likely will not stay close to home.

Alder is in good health.

Training & Support

Alder is protective of his food and will need to be fed separately from other dogs. He is still learning how to interact with other dogs and decompressing from his past. With time and patience, he is sure to come out of his shell.
