Matty

Meet Matty, a handsome 2-year-old Black Tri Australian Shepherd who is searching for an active home to call his own. This energetic and intelligent boy weighs 58 pounds and loves to keep busy. His favorite game is fetch, and he's always ready for another throw! Matty gets along with most dogs but prefers to be the only dog in the household so he can receive all the attention. He could also do well with a calm, non-dominant dog, as he prefers to be the dominant male. Matty is house-trained and has excellent manners. He dislikes being kenneled and can experience separation anxiety if confined. When given the freedom to relax around the house, he does very well. Matty is looking for an active family who understands the Australian Shepherd breed and can provide the exercise, playtime, and companionship he needs.

Ideal Home

Matty would thrive in an active home with a family who understands the Australian Shepherd breed. He would do best as the only dog, or with a calm, non-dominant dog. He prefers to be the dominant male in the household. He does not like being kenneled or confined to a closed room.

Ongoing Health

Matty is neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, heartworm negative, fecal negative, and on heartworm prevention. He is also microchipped.

Training & Support

Matty is house-trained and has excellent manners. He can experience separation anxiety if confined, so he needs a home that can provide him with freedom to relax around the house.
