Meet Rio!

Rio is a beautiful young Shepherd mix, estimated to be born around May 1, 2025. She currently weighs about 30 pounds and is expected to be a medium-sized dog when fully grown. Rescued from an abandoned home, Rio is resilient, friendly, and has a gentle spirit. She's a quick learner, already crate trained and working on house training, even learning to ring a bell to go outside! Rio is great with other dogs and has been gentle and friendly with children. While she can be a bit reserved initially, she is blossoming into an affectionate and loyal companion. Her fosters describe her as super smart, eager to please, and full of potential. Rio will be a wonderful companion for an active person or family looking for a bright, loving dog.

Ideal Home

Rio would do best in a home with an active person or family excited to continue her learning and growth. Homes with children 10 years and over are recommended to ensure the best fit for both Rio and the family.
