About Ruby

Meet Ruby! She's a delightful 512-month-old Black Labrador Retriever mix (our best guess) with a heart full of love and a future that's brighter than she could have ever imagined. Not long ago, Ruby was just another puppy trying to survive on the streets, dodging traffic and searching for scraps of food. Thankfully, her foster saw beyond her tough beginnings and recognized the sweet soul who deserved so much more. Today, Ruby is thriving in foster care and proving every single day just how incredible she is. She lives with another large dog and absolutely loves having a playmate to wrestle and romp around with. After she's burned off some energy, she's more than happy to curl up on the couch for snuggles or tag along on whatever adventure the day brings. Whether it's exploring a new trail, taking a car ride, or simply spending time with her people, Ruby is happiest when she's included. You'd never know she spent part of her puppyhood surviving on the streets by the way she greets everyone with a wagging tail, gentle kisses, and endless affection. Ruby hasn't let her past harden her heart—instead, she's become one of those dogs who loves with her whole soul.
