Diego ¡Ándale! ¡Ándale!

Diego ¡Ándale! ¡Ándale! is a spirited 2-3 year old, 62 lb Doberman mix who was found wandering near a busy road in Houston. He's a fast-moving pup, much like his cartoon namesake, and loves to zoom around, often inspiring his doggy friends to join in the fun! Diego is a playful and gentle dog, who avoids conflict and has been successfully fostered with dogs of all sizes. He is crate-trained and enjoys car rides and meeting new people. While he has a good balance of energy and calmness, he does require opportunities to really stretch his legs. He is not a fan of small critters and will chase squirrels, so a home without cats is a must.

Ideal Home

Diego would thrive in a home with a yard where he can safely run and play. He would do best with a family familiar with the energy levels of the Doberman breed and who can provide him with both physical and mental stimulation. A home without cats is essential.

Ongoing Health

Diego's ears are cropped but do not stand, and have some scarring along the edges. These do not cause him discomfort or require special care now. He has been vaccinated and received heartworm treatment.

Training & Support

Diego is crate-trained, which serves as his "off" switch. He is generally quiet and observant, but he does need opportunities to burn off energy. His previous owner's lack of commitment is evident in his ears, but he is otherwise a well-adjusted dog who would benefit from continued positive reinforcement and a family that understands his breed's needs.
