About Vixen Doll the Pocket Pittie Cutie
Vixen Doll looks like someone took a full-sized pittie, hit the "shrink" button, and then added a pair of tiny Dorito ears for extra cuteness. How is one dog allowed to be this cute?! This sweet girl is affectionate, silly, social, and has the kind of face that makes people instantly fall for her. One look at Vixen and it's easy to understand why everyone who meets her falls a little bit in love. Everywhere she goes, people comment on how adorable she is, but once they spend a few minutes with her, they quickly realize her personality is even better than her looks. Vixen Doll is approximately 1.5 years old, weighs just 38 lbs, and we believe she may be a Pittie mix. While she may look bigger in photos, this girl is surprisingly petite. She's not even 40 lbs! She has all the adorable pittie features people love packed into one compact little body. Vixen is social, affectionate, playful, and silly all rolled into one adorable package. She genuinely enjoys being around people and seems happiest when she's included in whatever is going on. Whether that's joining you for an adventure, hanging out in the backyard, playing with friends, or simply soaking up attention, Vixen is happy to be part of it. Between her tiny little bubble lip and those perfectly triangular ears that look exactly like miniature Doritos, she's almost impossible to resist. Her ears have a way of expressing every emotion she's feeling, and combined with her petite size, they give her an endless supply of charm. Vixen is dog friendly and has done well with every dog we've introduced her to so far. She's met dogs bigger than her, dogs her size, and dogs significantly smaller than her. When she first sees a potential new friend, she can get excited and pull toward them because she's eager to say hello. After a few minutes, though, the excitement settles and she's off exploring, playing, or making herself comfortable. She has a bouncy, playful play style and especially enjoys games of chase and romping around with other dogs. While she enjoys canine companionship, she doesn't seem to need another dog in the home to feel comfortable or confident. Vixen loves people and would be perfectly content soaking up all of your attention as the center of your world. Vixen is also a smart girl who is eager to learn. She is crate trained, potty trained, treat motivated, and already knows how to sit. Vixen also had the chance to spend time with an 8-year-old boy and did wonderfully. She immediately walked over to him and leaned into him for affection as if they had been friends forever. She happily accepted all the pets and attention he wanted to give and even enjoyed playing tug-of-war with him. There were a few moments where she got a little mouthy during play, but nothing unusual for a young, excited dog. Overall, she showed us so many qualities that suggest she could make a wonderful family companion.
Ideal Home
We think Vixen would absolutely love a home with a backyard where she can stretch her legs, play, sunbathe, and keep you company while you garden, work outside, or simply enjoy a nice day. That said, because of her manageable size and easygoing nature, we also think she has the potential to thrive in an apartment setting with proper exercise, enrichment, and social opportunities.
Ongoing Health
All vetting is included in the adoption fee, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, and a microchip with free lifetime registration.
Training & Support
She is crate trained, potty trained, treat motivated, and already knows how to sit. She occasionally jumps up when she's excited, but considering how much she loves treats and interacting with her people, we think continued training will be a breeze. The best part? Since she's such a petite girl, even her enthusiastic greetings are a lot easier to manage than they would be with a much larger dog.
