Bailey is a charming and intelligent Dachshund looking for a loving, permanent home! Dachshunds are known for their big personalities and can be a bit of a challenge to house-train, so patience and extra time are key. This breed can be a wonderful companion for the right family.
Ideal Home
A home with a securely fenced yard is a must for Bailey's safety. Homes with young children (under 10) may not be the best fit due to the potential for accidental injury to a small dog. Bailey may also not be suitable for homes with cats, as Dachshunds have a strong prey drive. Apartments or townhouses are generally not recommended due to barking tendencies, and if considered, must have ground-floor access.
Ongoing Health
Bailey is spayed/neutered, fully immunized, tested for parasites, and tested for heartworms. Any identified health issues will be treated by our veterinary clinic to ensure Bailey is in excellent health before going to a new home.
Training & Support
Dachshunds can take extra time and patience to house-train. Learning about the breed beforehand is highly recommended.
