Gina

Gina is an 8-month-old, 56lb spayed female Belgian Malinois mix who was found as a tiny puppy abandoned in a cardboard box by a busy road. Despite a rough start, she's now in a loving foster home and ready to find her forever family!

Ideal Home

Gina would thrive in an active home with someone who will play with her daily and understands how to raise a large, energetic puppy. She would do best with older, dog-savvy children (10+) due to her excitable jumping and her lack of experience with younger kids. A home with another dog would be ideal to keep her company and help her expend her puppy energy. Gina is enthusiastic about neighborhood kitties, so a cat-free home is recommended.

Ongoing Health

Gina is up-to-date on vaccinations and spayed. She is currently in the "puppy velociraptor stage," meaning she needs guidance on appropriate chew toys.

Training & Support

Gina is crate trained and working on house training, with no accidents when crated for up to 8 hours. She walks pretty well on a leash and does not show signs of separation anxiety. She is a toy enthusiast, collecting them in her bed, and knows how to play fetch but can also entertain herself. She prefers to eat treats alone. Because she was attacked by adult dogs on the street, she will do best with slow introductions to new dogs, though she enjoys the company of familiar dog friends of various sizes in her foster home.
