Vanna

Meet Vanna, an approximately 4-year-old German Shepherd mix with a heart as big as her personality! This affectionate "Velcro dog" thrives on close companionship and wants nothing more than to be by your side, whether you're home or on an adventure. Vanna is playful, enjoys a good game of fetch, and is a fantastic car rider. She's trusted to roam freely at home and is not destructive, her focus is always on her people.

Ideal Home

Vanna would thrive in an active home where she can get plenty of exercise and attention. She's best suited as the only dog in the household, though she may do well with very large, well-matched dogs (around 90 lbs or more) with careful introductions and no resource guarding issues. She's good with dog-savvy cats! Vanna is reserved with strangers initially but warms up to become friendly. She may do well with older children (12+) who can respect her space.

Ongoing Health

Vanna is spayed and vaccinated. She is still working through some challenges related to past trauma, including resource guarding (food, toys, people) and leash reactivity towards other dogs. Continued training and support in these areas are important. She is also still polishing up her potty training with occasional accidents and is crate trained.

Training & Support

Vanna benefits from patience, consistency, and understanding. Continued support with leash manners and resource guarding training is essential. She settles nicely into a home routine and shows great potential for continued growth.

Vanna is currently located with her foster. Transports run every few weeks and she will be on the next available transport once approved.
