Meet Akira! This 5.5-year-old, 60lb spayed female Staffordshire mix has a face that will melt your heart. She was rescued from a euthanasia list with mere minutes to spare and has been patiently waiting for her forever family for nearly nine months. Akira is fully crate-trained and knows her basic commands. She’s a big love bug who enjoys lounging, snuggling, and thinks she's a tiny lap dog. You’ll often find her snoozing on a comfy bed until it's time for a walk. She listens well, follows commands, and takes treats gently. For entertainment, she enjoys chewing on bones and playing with her stuffed toys.

Ideal Home

Akira adores people and enjoys the company of calm, submissive pups. She would also be content as the only dog in her home, as her ultimate dream is to be your one and only companion.

Training & Support

Akira is crate-trained and knows her basic commands. She is a gentle soul who responds well to gentle guidance.

Transportation

Akira is currently in foster care in Houston, TX. She can be transported out of state once an approved adopter is lined up. Transports run every few weeks, and she will be on the next available transport once approved.
