Jet

Jet is a 4.5-year-old, approximately 70 lb, male Golden Retriever who joined us in mid-March 2025. He's a happy boy who enjoys spending time in the yard and exploring scents. Jet is house-trained and crate-trained, and he's accustomed to having company, as he often accompanied his person to work. He has received obedience training and knows basic commands, as well as some fun tricks.

Ideal Home

Jet is looking for a home where he can be the only dog and have no cats or children under the age of 16. His previous family made the difficult decision to re-home him due to concerns about his resource guarding when children are present.

Ongoing Health

Jet is currently working with a behaviorist to address his resource guarding.

Training & Support

Jet displays resource guarding behaviors, particularly with toys. While various training methods have been attempted with limited success, he is now ready for more focused training with an experienced owner. He can participate in structured daycare and supervised meetups if toys and high-value resources are absent. Jet thrives with clear structure, consistency, and informed handling. Our trainer will collaborate with you to ensure a smooth transition and ongoing success.
