Meet Julien Verb!
Julien is a brave 2-year-old terrier mix, weighing in at a petite 11 lbs. He's a survivor who's just starting to discover that the world can be a kind place. Julien had a tough beginning, spending his early life as a stray protecting his sisters. Because of this past, he can be fearful of people and new situations. The world can feel big and overwhelming to him, and his first instinct is to protect himself by keeping his distance. But don't let his shyness fool you – beneath that fear is a gentle soul who deeply desires to feel safe.
Every single day, Julien tries his best. With slow movements, soft voices, and patient reassurance, he's beginning to show glimpses of trust. He's following the other dogs, exploring the backyard, and even coming to greet his people when they get home. These may seem like small victories, but for Julien, they are monumental steps towards a brighter future.
Ideal Home
Julien needs a special home filled with understanding, consistency, and patience. His adopter must be willing to go at his pace, celebrate the smallest milestones, and invest time in positive reinforcement training. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs.
Ongoing Health
Julien is up-to-date on vaccines and microchipped. His adoption fee includes spay/neuter.
Training & Support
Julien is still learning to navigate new experiences and can be fearful. He will benefit greatly from continued positive reinforcement training and a patient approach to build his confidence.
Application Details:
- Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
- Adoption fee is $300.
- All adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check, and final contract.
- We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs.
- Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet.
