Duncan is the sweetest little boy, approximately 1 year old and weighing about 19 lbs. His DNA shows he's a delightful mix with a lot of Chihuahua! He absolutely loves to play with his squeaky toys and is always up for some petting and attention. Duncan is a quiet and well-behaved companion who seems to be pretty good at house-training and walks nicely on a leash, though he could benefit from a bit more training. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and is a truly gentle soul.

Ideal Home

Duncan would do best in a home without children under the age of 8 years.

Ongoing Health

Duncan tested positive for heartworms when he was rescued. He has been treated according to The American Heartworm Society's protocols and typically tests negative within 4 to 6 months post-treatment. He is up-to-date on all vaccinations and monthly preventatives for heartworms, fleas, ticks, and parasites.

Training & Support

Duncan is a smart boy who is already pretty well house-trained and does well on a leash. He would benefit from continued positive reinforcement training to further hone his skills.
