Meet Trout!
Trout is an incredibly handsome, approximately 2-year-old, 54-pound pup who found himself on the euthanasia list at a local shelter. Thankfully, his foster mom swooped in to save him, and now we're all lucky to know this special boy. Despite his athletic appearance, Trout is surprisingly chill. He enjoys a good hike or romp with his dog friends but truly excels at relaxing, often found flopping upside down on the couch in peak relaxation mode. He can be a bit shy initially with new people, needing a few moments to warm up, but once he trusts you, he becomes a loyal companion. Trout is kennel-trained, potty-trained, walks beautifully on leash, and knows how to sit. He gets along wonderfully with his foster siblings, both big and small, and humans too. The only caution is his keen interest in squirrels and cats on walks, so a home without feline roommates might be best.

Trout's dream home is one that includes him in life's adventures, from camping trips and fishing weekends to cozy evenings by the fire.
Ongoing Health
Trout is currently undergoing heartworm treatment. He is fully vetted, neutered, and up-to-date on preventatives.
Training & Support
Trout has mastered kennel training, potty training, leash walking, and sits on command. His only notable "quirk" is his remarkable ability to reject medication, no matter how well it's hidden!
