Duncan

Duncan is the sweetest little boy, about a year old and weighing in at 19 lbs. He's a typical multi-breed mix with a lot of Chihuahua in his DNA! Duncan loves to play with his squeaky toys, enjoys lots of petting and attention, and is a quiet, well-behaved companion. He seems to be pretty well house-trained and walks nicely on a leash, though he could benefit from a little more training. Duncan gets along wonderfully with other dogs and is eager to find his forever home.

Ideal Home

Duncan would thrive in a home that can provide him with plenty of affection and playtime. Please note, we do not adopt to families with children under the age of 8.

Ongoing Health

When Duncan was rescued, he tested positive for heartworms. He has completed treatment according to The American Heartworm Society's protocols and typically tests negative within 4 to 6 months post-treatment. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines (Rabies, Dhpp, Bordetella, and Canine Influenza), and on monthly preventatives for heartworms, fleas, ticks, and parasites.

Training & Support

Duncan is generally well-behaved and mostly house-trained, and he does pretty well on a leash. He could benefit from a little additional training to continue his progress.
