About Ralph

Ralph is a senior male Chihuahua mix who came from a very sad situation. He was used for breeding and horribly neglected by a backyard breeder. While he does great with other dogs, Ralph is understandably scarred of new people and it is taking him time to learn to trust humans. He is anxious around people, including children, and still flinches when touched. He is making progress on house training and loves to sleep in his bed under a blanket – a luxury he never had before coming to HART.

Ideal Home

Ralph will need someone who has experience dealing with very skittish dogs and possesses a great deal of patience. A very secure, fenced yard is also a must for Ralph.

Ongoing Health

Ralph is neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Ralph is anxious around new people and flinches when touched due to his past neglect. He is making progress on house training. He will benefit from continued patience and positive reinforcement to build trust.
