Big Mama

Big Mama is an affectionate, athletic, adventure-loving 3-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier mix. She was found weighing over 70lbs but is now at a healthy weight of around 60lbs. Her original finders discovered her in the middle of the road and, after finding themselves unable to keep her due to their own dog's issues, brought her to a local shelter where she was unfortunately placed on the euthanasia list. Thankfully, her finders worked tirelessly to network her and get her to safety with us. Big Mama is incredibly people-friendly and loves to cuddle. She can be a bit unaware of her size, especially when she gets zoomies in the yard! She enjoys lounging indoors but is ready for playtime once she's outside.

Ideal Home

Big Mama would do best in a home with only male dogs, as she can be assertive and dominant with female dogs. While she enjoys canine companionship, she does not require a doggy sibling to be happy. Due to her energy level and tendency to be unaware of her size, a home without young children would be ideal.
