Amos

Meet Amos, a handsome 2-year-old male Black Mouth Cur mix who weighs around 60lbs. Amos is a survivor who came to us in critical condition due to heartworms and fluid retention. He has since made a remarkable recovery, is heartworm-free, and no longer in heart failure! While he now has a permanently enlarged heart and will require lifelong medication, this happy-go-lucky guy is ready to embrace his second chance at life. He absolutely loves everyone and enjoys a good romp in the yard as much as he loves snuggling on the couch.

Ideal Home

Amos would thrive in a home that enjoys both active adventures and cozy downtime. He has done well with children aged 7 and up and gets along with other dogs. We are unsure about his compatibility with cats.

Ongoing Health

Amos requires lifelong medication for a permanently enlarged heart. He is up to date on vaccines, neutered, heartworm treated, on preventatives, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Amos is crate trained, but his housebreaking status is unknown. He is eager to please and will benefit from continued positive reinforcement and a loving routine.
