NELLIE!

MEET NELLIE! Nellie is an 8-10 year old pittie mix with a truly unique face, featuring wrinkles galore, soulful golden eyes, and pouty lips. She was rescued by Philly's Humane Law Enforcement after being seized for cruelty and neglect, arriving in an emaciated state. After some time in a shelter, she found her way to City of Elderly Love and is now ready for a quiet, loving home to call her own. Despite her past, Nellie is now at a healthy weight, and any muscle loss in her head is less noticeable. She may look larger in photos, but she's a total peanut with short legs and a nice round belly.

Ideal Home

Nellie would thrive in a low-key home where her world can remain calm and predictable. While she currently lives with another dog, she prefers her own space and can get overstimulated, so she'd be happiest as an only pet or with another mellow canine companion.

Ongoing Health

Nellie is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Nellie can be a little anxious in new situations, such as unfamiliar car rides or vet visits, and takes some time to warm up to new people. Offering her a treat can help her settle in wonderfully. She loves her crate and often curls up in it to relax.
