Meet Raffi — a gentle, handsome boy looking for a patient, loving home. Raffi came to us malnourished and sick, but this beautiful boy is thriving now. He can be timid with new people, yet once he feels safe, his playful, sweet personality shines. Raffi is a ladies man (dog). He prefers women and is afraid of men; his response is barking. He will need someone with patience and training to help him with his anxiety. He will be a dog who likely will always be on the cautious side. He can be scared of some men, but we have no way of knowing who. He is very loving and simply needs someone who will commit to him for life. Because of his fear of men, his adoption fee is only the airline charge for his flight/crate. Please contact us for more information. Raffi's vibe includes him being dog-social and loving walks, preferring women, and being fearful of men. He needs a patient adopter willing to help him work through anxiety and is playful once he trusts you. He likely has McNab Shepherd or shorthaired Border Collie in his mix and would do best in a cooler climate as his dark coat gets hot in Mexico. Raffi is a wonderful dog who just needs the right person — someone gentle, understanding, and ready to help him feel secure. If you believe in giving shy dogs a chance to blossom, Raffi is waiting for you.

Transporation
Our rescue is located near Bucerias, Mexico. We adopt dogs to the US and Canada. Approved adopters are matched with flight companions (flight angels) traveling from Puerto Vallarta. You will meet them at the airport to welcome your new pup home. During the summer months, it may be challenging to secure Canadian flight angels, so dogs may need to fly into the US and be picked up at Peace Arch Park at the border if a Canadian flight angel is unavailable. We have successfully completed many adoptions over the summer with volunteers helping to bring dogs to their adopters at the border.
