Comet

Comet is a 3-year-old, neutered male hound/retriever mix weighing 56 pounds. He's a sweet, affectionate boy who loves to cuddle and be near his people. Comet was rescued from the streets and is now thriving in a foster home, eager to find his forever family. He has a playful spirit and enjoys a good zoomie session!

Ideal Home

Comet would be happiest in a home with another dog to play and snuggle with. He has done well with indoor cats and children, but due to a slight herding instinct, we recommend a home with children aged 10 or older who understand animal behavior cues.

Comet is a healthy boy with no known health conditions.

Training & Support

Comet is fully house, crate, and leash trained. He sleeps through the night in his crate without complaint and doesn't pull on the leash. He's been accident-free in the house and will let you know when he needs to go out. While he doesn't show signs of separation anxiety, he is crated when unsupervised because he enjoys tasting new things. Comet can be a little wary of men, but with patience and consistency, he warms up beautifully. He is eager to please and responds well to positive reinforcement.

Transporation

Comet is currently in a foster home in San Antonio, TEXAS. He can be transported out of state once an approved adopter is in place. Transports depart every few weeks, and he will be placed on the next available transport after approval.
