Zac is a handsome 5-year-old Anatolian Shepherd mix who weighs around 60 pounds. He's a loyal companion with a perfect balance of playful energy and laid-back cuddles. Zac was rescued from a county shelter and, shortly after, underwent FHO surgery on a back leg to correct an old injury. He has fully healed and requires no further medical intervention or medication. Zac enjoys spending time with other dogs, is house-trained and crate-trained, and loves to be near his people. He can be quite the conversationalist, especially when dinner or treats are running late, and is suspected to have some Husky in him!
Ideal Home
Zac would thrive in a home where he won't spend long periods alone. He enjoys having canine companions and seems happiest when he has another dog around or people nearby. He has done well meeting new people and is becoming more comfortable with car rides. His foster believes he would do well with a family willing to continue teaching him not to jump up when excited, but he has not lived with young children.
Ongoing Health
Zac has healed from his FHO surgery and requires no ongoing medical care or medication.
Training & Support
Zac is house-trained and crate-trained. While he hasn't lived with young children, his foster believes he'd do well with a family willing to continue teaching him not to jump up when he gets excited.
