He loves romping around with other dogs and will happily try to convince cats to join in the fun, even if they aren't quite as enthusiastic as he is. Dutch has plenty of energy and confidence when playing. Despite being much smaller than some of his canine friends, he holds his own with larger dogs and loves an active play session. He can be a little persistent when playtime is over and doesn't always catch subtle signals that another dog is finished. However, when corrected, Dutch responds appropriately and will roll over in submission. Dutch has also shown interest in cats and wants very badly to play with them. When they run, he chases them, and when they hiss, he barks back, hoping they'll join his game. Dutch has been wonderful with children, showing gentleness and no signs of aggression. He is eager to learn and highly trainable, enjoying being with his people and would likely love going on walks and adventures with his future family. Dutch is sweet and easygoing around food and people, showing no signs of food aggression and is very food-motivated, making training easier. He loves toys, treats, and spending time with his humans.

Because of his playful energy, he may do best with dog-savvy cats who are comfortable around active puppies. Transporation
Dutch is currently located with a foster. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved.
