Meet Stella – A Special Girl Looking for a Special Home
Stella is an incredibly sweet and loving dog who has overcome a lot. When she arrived at our rescue, she was in urgent need of medical attention for severe skin and ear conditions. Thanks to the dedicated team at Healthy Pets and the compassionate hands of Dr. Pinzon, Stella began her journey to healing. With a carefully tailored treatment plan, including daily allergy medications, steroids, antibiotics, and laser therapy, Stella's skin and ear conditions have greatly improved.
Stella was also diagnosed with Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD), a condition affecting the spine that is common in French Bulldogs. This condition causes pain and mobility issues, and Stella sometimes has trouble controlling her hind legs, leading to incontinence. To help manage this, Stella receives ongoing chiropractic care and physical therapy.
Despite her medical challenges, Stella remains a fighter with a gentle heart. She enjoys being close to her people, gets along well with other dogs, and has a sweet nature that makes her a joy to be around. She is a vocal dog, so apartment living or homes with shared walls are not ideal.
Ideal Home
Stella is looking for a calm, understanding home prepared to meet her special needs with love and diligence. Her ideal home will:
- Have no small children, as she needs a calm environment due to her medical condition.
- Involve limited physical activity; no jumping off furniture or rough play.
- Be free of stairs.
- Have someone who works from home or is gone for very limited amounts of time due to her incontinence.
- Not be an apartment or have shared walls, as she is very vocal.
Ongoing Health
Stella requires ongoing care for her skin, ears, and IVDD. This includes daily allergy medications, steroids, antibiotics, laser therapy, chiropractic care, and physical therapy. She may also have occasional incontinence due to her IVDD.
Training & Support
Patience will be key with Stella, especially regarding house training, as her condition can make it a challenge. She thrives in a calm environment and benefits from a consistent routine.

Transportation
