Neiko is a regal Akita with a soul full of sunshine who has been waiting for his forever family for over five years. While the circumstances of his owner surrender remain a mystery, Neiko's spirit remains unbowed. This playful senior is a walking contradiction: wise and experienced yet bursting with youthful energy. He adores car rides with the windows down, the wind ruffling his fur, and wouldn't dream of missing out on a scoop of dog-friendly ice cream. A champ on walks, Neiko would happily explore new trails with you by his side. He is such a great dog with big love and big personality, and he deserves a home of his own! Neiko holds his toys in his mouth and dances around on his back legs when he's happy - which is all the time. He has a gorgeous brindle coat that makes him look so handsome and unique! He is the biggest, sweetest fluff ball you will ever meet!
Ideal Home
Neiko isn't a fan of other furry friends, so he would do best as the only pet in the home. He thrives on adventures and would love an active family to explore with.
Ongoing Health
Neiko is a senior boy, estimated to be 11-12 years old and weighing 100lbs. He gets yearly bloodwork checks, which have all been fantastic. He recently completed a much-needed dental cleaning.
Training & Support
Neiko is a well-behaved boy who enjoys outings with volunteers. He has a big personality and is sure to bring big love to his forever home.

Neiko is located at Saving Grace Rescue LBK in Wilson, TX. He is also available for adoption throughout the PNW, Midwest, and Northeast through Project Freedom Ride.
