Romeo

Hi there! I'm Romeo, a handsome and unique boy looking for my forever home. I've been with The SULA Society for a while, and it's because I have some special needs. When I was younger, I became deaf and, unfortunately, I also can't swim – I'll sink like a rock, so please keep me away from water! You might notice a dreamy look in my eyes; I'm often thinking about my best friend, Julietta, who is also looking for a home. I don't need any special medical treatment, just lots of love and careful supervision around water.

The good news? I am incredibly handsome and would love to find my Julietta! I'm great with older children and do well with larger dogs, especially the ladies! However, I'm a bit wary of smaller dogs, as they can be a bit startling for me. I'm an independent guy who enjoys doing my own thing, but I absolutely love a good walk! The video shows me when I was first rescued, still attached to my leash – a true independent spirit!

Ideal Home

Romeo would thrive in a home with older children and larger dogs. He is not comfortable around small dogs. He must also have supervision around any water.

Ongoing Health

Romeo is deaf and cannot swim. He requires no ongoing medical treatment for these conditions but needs careful handling around water.

Training & Support

Romeo is an independent dog who enjoys his own space but loves walks. Ensure he has plenty of opportunities for exercise.

Transporation

Romeo is located in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Transport to Canada and the United States is available with a volunteer flight angel to the nearest airport.
