OSO

Oso is a handsome 3.5-year-old, 66-70lb neutered male black lab mix with a heart full of love. He found himself at the shelter through no fault of his own and is incredibly sweet, calm, and loving. Oso bravely sailed through heartworm treatment and is now happy and healthy, and up to date on all his shots and monthly heartworm prevention. He seems to have had some prior training and knows all his commands, walking beautifully on a leash. This intelligent boy is also dog-friendly, getting along well with male and female dogs of medium to large size. He's crate trained, potty trained, and rides well in the car without any anxiety. Oso gets overlooked because he's an all-black dog, but he is truly a wonderful boy deserving of a forever home.

Ideal Home

Oso would love a home with a fenced yard where he can run and play. He would be a great family dog with children, and could also be a wonderful companion for a couple or a single person, as long as he is included in their daily life. He would do well as a solo dog or with doggie siblings, but might not be best suited for apartment living.

Ongoing Health

Oso has successfully completed heartworm treatment and is now heartworm negative. He is up to date on all vaccinations and receives monthly heartworm prevention.

Training & Support

Oso is already crate trained and potty trained and knows his basic commands. He walks beautifully on a leash.
