Peanut

Meet Peanut, a one-year-old Weimaraner mix affectionately known as Little Boy. Peanut is a handsome chocolate brown boy with soft floppy ears and stunning amber eyes. He's a quiet charmer who adores cuddle sessions and has a knack for making even couch naps an art form. If you're not on the couch, he'll let you know with soft noises until you join him, at which point he'll snuggle close for a contented snooze. Peanut is house- and crate-trained, settling comfortably when left alone for up to eight hours.

Ideal Home

Peanut is good with older children, especially tweens and teens. While he's generally good-natured with other dogs, he prefers to play roughly and can be a bit grumbly if his nap is disturbed, though he's never shown aggression. Younger children or fast runners can excite him, leading to jumping, so supervision and structure are important.

Ongoing Health

Peanut has a sensitive stomach and thrives on a low-ingredient diet for food, treats, and chews.

Training & Support

Peanut is house and crate trained and knows commands like "get in your box" and "no." He is currently working on "sit" and "shake." He pulls on walks and does best in a harness. At parks, a shorter leash is recommended as he may jump toward runners or children playing ball. He may vocalize during car rides initially but settles with time. He enjoys toys he can pounce on, especially squeaky toys and balls. Stuffed squeaky toys aren't ideal as he tends to eat the stuffing.
