Rusty

Rusty is a spunky, 4-5 year old Black Mouth Cur Shepherd mix who weighs about 50lbs! He's a short, squatty guy with a heart full of love and a playful spirit. Rusty's favorite games are keep-away and chase, and he's always up for an adventure. He's neutered, up-to-date on all his shots, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Rusty is also a smart cookie who knows his basic commands and is highly motivated by food and treats! He was perfect in his foster home, showing no potty accidents and is even crate trained. He rides well in the car and doesn't experience any anxiety.

Ideal Home

Rusty would do best in an active home where he can be included in daily family activities and adventures. He absolutely needs a fenced yard and is not trained for off-leash adventures. Rusty would not be a good fit for apartment living. He could thrive with a single person, a couple, or a family with children older than 10 years old, as his exuberance might accidentally knock over a younger child.

Ongoing Health

Rusty is up-to-date on all vaccinations, is heartworm negative, and is microchipped.

Training & Support

While Rusty had some potty accidents in a shelter environment, he has been perfect in his foster home and is both potty trained and crate trained. He is not off-leash trained and requires a fenced yard.
